If you didn't know, you would have thought it was Hartman who nearly lost his balls
Hartman is a huge liability right now! He was responsible for the goal that got called off due to offsides and the goal Tkchuck scored short there after.
He’s a whiner and a coaster. I’m disappointed Hynes didn’t bench him.

Because Bogosian is 35 in the new year and young Jiricek won't stick around forever
Not following your reasoning. Bogo has played well as a 3rd pairing RHD with size and toughness. Jiricek, while he might have some physical talent which caused him to be a # 6 oa pick, has holes in his defensive game that makes him unfit for the NHL at this time. Nothing wrong with that, he is young. Players like Rossi and Faber also took years of development before they were ready to play in the NHL.

Now that Middleton is out, Bogo is by far the biggest and toughest Dman we have. Jiricek is better off getting top minutes in the AHL working on his game than pairing with Jon Merrill on the 3rd pairing. That's a recipe for disaster. I think jiricek will get a few NHL games this year, then will be encouraged by the Wild staff to hand around Minneapolis in the summer and do extra skating training with the Ness', as well as other conditioning. If he does, then we can expect him to make the team next season, though that would mean 4 RHD, as Bogo is signed for another year.

Don't see Jiricek hanging around so he can play in the AHL,he's seen, done that...maybe the WIld will peddle Spurgeon and his hefty contract to a contender otherwise the Wild have a logjam
