in my opinion, this rule is simply applied too inconsistently. every time this rule is interpreted differently. i have the feeling that defenders only push the strikers into the blue because they know exactly that there is a chance of a gi. to put it more precisely, the rule itself is not the problem, but its implementation. even if we have benefited from it here.
