Hope Rossi isn’t getting bitter about consistently being the odd man out. I really see no reason he shouldn’t at least be on PP1 right now. I wouldn’t blame him if he makes contract talks difficult, seems pretty obvious the organization doesn’t value him as much as his resume merits.

I think there’s some middle ground between Rossi is getting screwed and the fact that he needs to be better in a lot of areas of the game for large portions of games. Yes he is producing but he is still learning.

There are certain people you can push harder and not hand everything to. They end up being better for it. Rossi is anything but a finished product at this point but above all he has shown a commitment to bettering himself. I’m fine with things playing out as they are. I am assuming they know what they are doing given they know who he is and what he is and isn’t doing better than us. Maybe they eventually trade him. Maybe he proves them wrong.

Good luck to Jones. He isn't really a prospect but he's scored well in the AHL, very well in juniors, and hasn't really got a chance in the NHL. Had a good camp and good start in Iowa.
