They’ve only had like 20 days to practice the powerplay with no games this month but it actually looks worse
Wilson drawing that penalty is something that won't show up in advanced stats but is part of what makes him uniquely valuable.

Malenstyn is one good hockey player and will score some important goals one be in the right areas to screen for others. Give me more players like him.

you know how in free agency fans get all excited and optimistic, but sometimes the fanbase that just watched the player unanimously comes in and says "oh you're not gonna like this one" and it's this slow burn before they're right or wrong?

Kuemper probably has Edmonton on his no trade list.
Edit: he has a 15 team no trade list so def Edmonton would be on that list. Almost half the damn league is on the list!

If we called Alexeyev "Little Turkey" for the rest of his career I wouldn't mind at all.
It won't show up in advanced stats because we are never going to actually score on the power play.

You mean the Ryan Leonard guy who is tearing it up as a freshman on the top line of the BC college hockey powerhouse? Yeah, he’s nothing but a grinder line prospect.
Kuemper is from Saskatoon, maybe he would do Edmonton, not too far from home. But he could have signed with them during the same offseason that Edmonton went for Campbell

I’m pretty sure Wilson takes way more penalties than he draws. Not sure what the “advanced stats” would say about that.
