Confirmed with Link: G Stephon Williams agrees to two-year entry level

Does the ATO mean he has 2 additional years on his ELC after this season?

I hope he's the goalie we saw in his freshman and junior years. He's got a lot of personality and swagger to him.

Bye bye Poulin.

I'm very high on this kid. I think he's going to be a legit starter in this league.

which part?

I think you'll see Motte/Williams as the duo next year in the AHL.

From the couple games I've seen of him I just love the way the kid moves in the net and his poise. He doesn't look like he ever gets rattled either. Kind of the anti Poulin up in the head.

Poulin could be a possibility as our back up next year. He's now a few years removed from his surgery. I'd at least give him a look.

Yeah sorry, I think Poulin's side to side movement was brutal post-injury. He seems to have a certain lack of awareness for the puck. And I unfortunately disagree on the rattled part, seen plenty of shellings with him in net.

I'd agree that the tools are there, but he ran out of time with the Isles trying to put it together. Best of luck to KP moving forward.

I agree with everything you said about Poulin. My comments were towards Williams and how I liked his game. Not KP's.

Like that we got him locked up. Always felt this guy would be the dark horse of that draft.

Could someone also fill me in on what age the players need to be in order to get either a 2 year or 3 year ELC?

Poulin is not coming back with the Isles!! he said it himself earlier this season on a french sport network! he doesnt want to spent another season in the AHL.

So he will move on elsewhere....better for both side

Didn't someone say Roy was high on poulin?

It's a shame it didn't work out, always liked poulin as a prospect. I wish him the best elsewhere. But I'm excited about Williams, MacAdam, Sorokin, Soderstrom, and maybe even Koskinen and Motte (if the ISLES sign him).

I can't remeber who but it was either Williams or McAdAm that wasn't even ranked for the draft. Ohh well.

I can't imagine any of the 30 NHL teams agreeing to give Poulin a one way contract. Its possible Colorado signs him if Roy is the a fan but he will still be on their AHL affiliate.

Williams had an outstanding freshman year so I doubt it was him.

It was Williams, I recall a few posters being pretty upset when he was drafted because of this reason. But he likely wasn't ranked highly by the scouting services due to being in his second year of draft eligibility.

Great freshman season as a 20 year old freshman. But was not rated by any draft guide or company (CS, ISS, etc). Totally off the board draft pick that might wind up a steal.

I was one of those upset people. He may be proving me wrong.
