Oilers 5th round pick in 2022.

Just posted four shutouts in back-to-back games and has the best numbers in the Allsvenskan. He seems to be on a very good defensive team that helps his numbers.

Are there any Allsvenskan watchers out there with any insight on him?

Just turned 21. He's 11-0-0 at 1.35 GAA and .941 SV%. His save percentage is much higher than anyone else in that league right now. Maybe he's legit.

Speaking out of my ass, I would assume he will play 2025-26 SHL, 2026-27 AHL, and then if he's had success, 2027-28 NHL.

My guess is he's coming over to NA.

He signed on as Farjestad's third goalie this year late in the season and then there were rumours he was signing there for next season too. A couple weeks go by without any news and then there's rumours that Farjestad hadn't signed him because the Oilers were trying hard to get him signed. Eventually Farjestad signed Emil Larmi and Melker Thelin as their tandem for next year.

Maybe another SHL team wants him, but I feel like the Oilers would have worked with Farjestad if they wanted Jonsson in the SHL next year.
