Didn’t see a thread on Olof Glifford, so I figured I’d start one. He’s playing for HV71 in the SHL right now and got called up from J20 Nationell when both goalies went down with injuries. After missing out on the juniors, it seems like he decided to make a statement.
Since his SHL debut, he’s started five straight games and won them all, posting a .956 SV%, 1.17 GAA, and even a shutout. What’s even more impressive is that he’s doing this for one of the worst teams in the league (at least standings-wise).
He’s 195 cm (6'5'') tall and must have broken one SHL record with this streak. Could end up being a sneaky-good pick by the Panthers. Really hope he can maintain a high level for the rest of the season, even though this performance will be impossible to keep up over time.
