Penguins don’t have a 2nd round pick. It’ll be interesting to see if they just select him or trade back (if chosen). Because Jarry is not the answer.

Maybe but he's far from NHL... 3 years is a good timeline. eg. Vanecek also went in 2nd round and he took 4 I think. Or Askaraov and Walstedt have yet to play consistently (or at all) in NHL and they are higher 'pedigree' type picks.

FTR.. hope I'm wrong and he's a starter next year! But I don't see it.

Well, he's a goalie and they take longer.

Wouldn't mind if the Kraken used one of their three 2nd rounders on him.

Habs should do anything in their power to secure this guy, either spending their 17th pick on him or finding another 1st, or trading up from their 2nd.

I flip-flopped him and Bjarnason all year, but it's clear Hrabal is the better prospect.. Bjarnason's puck tracking keeps getting exposed.

I say he goes around 40. Raw project but the tools are undeniable! He was great all tourney. Stats don't tell the full story, he was under siege. Only a few clunkers against Canada but otherwise he was well above average. Obviously, should've been pulled after 3rd goal against Canada.

I would love for the Leafs to grab this guy at 28. Maybe a bit higher than projected, but we need a solid goalie prospect in the pipeline. We haven’t developed a long-term starting goalie since Felix Potvin.

Knowing Dubas (if he’s still here), he’ll probably trade out of 28, grab a 2nd and 3rd, and not pick the 6ft6 goalie we need.

My take is that he's got every tool to be a damn good NHL goalie. He definitely needs development time though and has to work on his positioning/technique a bit. I wouldn't put him on the Wolf/Askarov/Walstedt tier but would put him ahead of Dostal at same age.

Early 2nd round is my guess.

I think San Jose will take this kid at 26 if he’s still there

I was thinking San Jose too, they might have an interesting dilemma with picks 26 and 36. Reminds me of LA having 22 and 33 at the 2019 Draft. LA wanted a defenseman and a forward out of the two picks but they had several forwards that they liked in that layer but only a couple of D. So instead of purely sticking to their list, they went D first (Tobias Bjornfot) since they didn't think they'd like the D options at 33. Then they took Arthur Kaliyev at 33. After the draft, I vaguely recall their head scout saying something to indicate that they actually had Kaliyev ranked higher than Bjornfot.

I could see San Jose looking at it similarly if they think Hrabal is head and shoulders the best goalie prospect and "reach" for him just to make sure they get him.

I'd love that.. he'd be arriving in SJ just as they'd be turning things around!

He probably goes when that 2nd-early 3rd Round goalie run starts. Maybe one of Detroit’s 3 picks in a row in the 2nd. They need more goalie prospects too.

Wouldn't mind the Leafs taking him. Won't fill a need, but neither will any other pick immediately. Not as interested in other goalies in this draft.
