I was at the game yesterday and he was excellent. By far the best player for Omaha and kept them in the game. Omaha took about 9 penalties if I’m not mistaken and he only allowed one goal on the power play. 2 of the 3 goals he had little chance of saving. Looked really poised and has quick lateral movement. He had a good game.

They left him out to dry in OT. Great poise and positioning all game.

Also, he’s listed at 6’6”. I don’t know enough about goalies to predict draft ranking, but I was really impressed with him in the game.

Hoping he's our third goalie at the Juniors at Xmas! They snubbed Dobes though a few years ago (also in USHL) despite the games being on small ice.lol

He looked good for Czechs too and we don't defend well so it's even more impressive.

Any chance this guy is good enough to be drafted by Hextall in the first round this year?

Goalies are a total wild card in this draft and teams have a very wide array of traits and tools they look for in projecting goalies. He has a lot of tools but had a tough year in the USHL. My guess is he gets drafted between the 2nd and 3rd round but who knows. I don’t see him getting picked as high as the middle of the 1st

He had fantastic stats in recent games. No one probably expects him to be drafted in the middle of the first round, but the estimates are from the end of the first round or the second round.

I'd say there's a chance for any of Bjarnason, Fowler and Hrabal to go between pick 20-64. They are all at least 2nd round picks, but all 3 could warrant a late 1st pick.

My guess is mid 2nd round .. he's not on the level of a Askarov or Walstedt but he's in great company after that. We'll see after U18's as he's already with the team. It's a middling squad so he should get a lot of shots and we'll see how good he is.haha
