His first few starts weren’t good, but he’s been on fire recently. First few might’ve been the defense as opposed to him, which as you stated will be something for him and Yegorov to contend with, as they did last season.

Has a 915 SV% on the worst team in the Western Conference. Outplaying Yegorov by a not insignificant margin (10 points better SV% and has played 1 more game).

Yegorov is having a good season too, but how did 32 teams decide this guy wasn't worth a selection? This was after he had a .924 SV% in limited game action last year and won Goaltender of the year in Minnesota High School hockey.

A few of reasons why:

1. Played most of his D+0 season in Minn high school league. Seven games in the USHL isn't a big enough sample for the scouts.
2. He's 6'2 per EP. Central Scouting Final rankings has Kam listed at 6'0. For perspective, Yegorov is 6'5 on EP and CSB Final rankings.
3. Goalies are a fickle bunch.

Has Motzko really recruited any MN HS goalies? Seems like he's tended to go after overage out of state guys.
