I can get over losing 88 pretty fast, but I definitely concerned about the pick.

Bahl was getting blasted by a huge portion of the board last season but now we’re going to panic because we moved him for a huge need? Markstrom isn’t an awesome goalie but he should provide above average goaltending and fits well with our play style. Look at his HDSV% and HDGSAA.

I’m totally fine with this trade. We should be better next year, so a late first is fine.

I had hope for Bahl, but I don’t mind moving him at the same time. It will be interesting to see who we pursue on the left side now.

I dont believe they would be worser than Markstrom next year as DEVILS goalies. I dont know how they will perform for other teams.
1+2 for 2 years of old goalies is not good.

They will upgrade on Bahl with FA/trades approaching. The first is protected and will more than likely be out of the lottery. If we were worried about trading 10 oa, how is this not a massive relief for everyone?

I'm pretty happy with this. Markstrom is the best fit, doesn't lock us into a big contract after 1 year. Always expected it to be the 25 1st. With Bahl gone, do we look to add a LD at the draft with 10OA?

A young roster player that filled a very big need for this team and a first for an aging, mediocre, overpaid goalie. That's just terrible asset management, but I knew it would end up being a terrible deal for us.

No it isn’t. At all. Bahl is barely even an asset.
