Love Sammy and he settled nicely into the game yesterday but the first two goals were stinkers and totally shifted momentum in favor of the Pens. The Caps needed to back him up and they didn't but yeah, if you ask him I bet he wants those back.

Guys like Samsonov, Hart, etc will likely take a month or two to adjust to the AHL before settling in. This happens to just about every goalie prospect when they start out in the AHL, unless they play for a defensive powerhouse.

He's only 24 and has played less than 40 games so yes. It just seems like so long ago since he was drafted.

All of the Caps players that were out with Covid struggled for awhile.

Samsonov has looked very good over the past few weeks.
