Yup, the race for second place is wide open.

Um nope not really EP40 and Dahlin pretty much have the top 2 spots locked down right now.

Even Heiskanen is a pretty clear 3rd for me and he is playing top paring MPG and doing fairly well lately.

EP40 is a lock for the Calder this year actually.

It goes: goalie, center, defenseman, winger

Usually, the skater who scores most points, wins the Calder, however...
there have not been a rookie goalie like Hart in a long time in the NHL.

If a rookie goalie is this exceptional, winning games (mostly single-handed), making stone cold saves, every time,
making highlight-reel saves, braking NHL rookie record(s), to top that; if the Flyers qualify...its a none-contest.

Flyers did win 6-2 and even if Hart didn't get a star selection, he was the true first star of the game.

Before Flyers scored those 4 goals in first, Ducks had two break away's + one excellent scoring chance
and after the first, Flyers really wasn't that good, sometimes even, really bad and in third
Hart kept them in 4-2 lead making brilliant saves, including, just insane double save.

Okay we are going to agree to disagree, Hart isn't winning the Calder by playing 35ish games.

Calder? Sure Hart has been unbelievable but cmon he isnt winning the Calder. If he was in NHL all year from the beginning of the year and did what hes been doing all year then he would be in consideration id think, but the Calder is EP's guarenteed. If Hart keeps winning games, maybe he sneaks in as the 3rd place guy but it is 100% EP's and Dahlin is most likely runner up

Who really cares though.. Looks like Flyers FINALLY may have a unreal goalie for a long time
