12-0 in the playoffs
32-1 in season

58-14-5 with Saskatoon in the WHL

90-15-5 CHL resume

Still undrafted in his 20yo season.

Product of good teams? Too small? Will he get drafted?

i liked this kid when he played in the WHL a few years ago/his draft year.
haven't seen him in london but 44-1 is nuts

i think he's a free agent now as a 2004 but could be wrong

Blues could have an inside track here. His uncle is Brian Elliott, now a goalie scout and developmental coach for the Blues, and the Blues haven’t drafted a goalie in a few years. There’s a match.

His record is insane.

But I guess he doesn't look all that flashy. Nobody drafts him, he gets waived through as an overager and lands on a powerhouse team, and to my reading even London fans weren't all that high on him and wondering if they should play Medvedev instead? But how do you argue with 32-1 in the regular season?

The Nashville Predators had him as an invite in camp last summer, I don't recall any rave reviews about the invite who stood out or anything.

But the guy must be doing SOMETHING right. Hopefully he parlays the new NCAA rules into getting onto the prospect radar for somebody. Sometimes goalies are just good/at the right time without necessarily having standout flashy skills or size or whatever. If you simply WIN GAMES, whether it's by excelling in terms of mental focus or consistency or whatnot, those are also valuable traits, even if they aren't as evident to the scouts' eyes in a single viewing. :dunno:

Sounds like a middle 3rd rounder at worst .
Is he even eligible to be drafted?

Either way, reminds me of Andrew Engelage, Michael Houser or Adam Dennis.

Good goalies that look great because of the team in front of them. But inevitably aren’t one of the top-60 goalie in the world.

He's not. 2024 was his last year of eligibility.

Has certainly been a nice story for London and much better than anticipated. A few weeks ago I thought he's about to sell hotdogs soon. Guy has pretty much ruined a WHL playoff run of a very strong team, lost his starter gig to a younger goalie, got waived the season after and dropped out of the entire league. Has really earned himself that college gig with a solid playoff run plus memorial cup though. Played for a very strong team but still was much better than expected...especially for those who watched him suck in the WHL previously.

I'm not gonna hold my breath re his future but who knows. He now has another chance to potentially take advantage of.
