How's his development going? Considered a good candidate for #1 in the future? He was on the Russian WJHC roster last year but isn't this year so I'm wondering what's up with him.

Not eligible this year

He is progressing ok for a 4th round pick but at this point, it's hard to see him reach NHL level in the next 4-5 years. He is a long, long term prospect who will make the NHL when everybody has forgotten about him. If at all, that is.

Ah so he's 99% of goalie prospects that have ever existed

Goalies take a while to develop...no issue with another couple of years in Europe since he's getting playing time.

Not expecting much from him. If he turns out, that would be great but not going to get too excited.

He's look much better as of late after a rough start.

Currently the top goalie in the VHL statistically speaking. i'm wondering how the VHL compares to the AHL? can anybody elaborate?

Named the goaltender of the month for November in the VHL. Havin a good year. So curious as to how he’ll develop. Wondering at which point he gets a KHL shot.

It's good that he's putting up very solid numbers, but success in the VHL, especially for someone 21 years old, is a tough one to project. Plenty of goalies put up great numbers in that league, the vast majority of whom never turn into anything (take a look at goalie statistical leaders from previous seasons for example - Elite Prospects - VHL Stats 2019-2020).

Really need to see him get an extended look in the AHL or KHL to get a better grasp for how good he is.

Veteran Timur Bilyalov is 9-1 with similar numbers for Kazan.

Is this a reflection of the two goalies' play or the quality of the team defense?
