100% this, I don't see how anyone could think otherwise after the last 2 games. You are clearly selling us short. We will absolutely 100% guaranteed win 4 cups in a row and then decline.

It's fine to believe otherwise. I just think you are over-estimating the quality of other teams. There are no dynasties anymore. The field is wide open, and the leafs have finally built a team capable of winning when it matters. You are clearly selling us short. We will absolutely 100% guaranteed win 4 cups in a row and then decline.
Nah. These things don't happen overnight. penguins didn't just become terrible. They spent 2-3 seasons in mediocrity barely making the playoffs and being an easy out in round 1, no where close to making it an even series.
Leafs are close to that point. We are 1-2 years away from fighting just to make the playoffs
Sums up this place nicely. Either a Cup winning Dynasty or on the verge of a rebuild. The Leafs will probably win two Cups in the next 3 or 4 years. After that, yes, the team will start to degrade. That's how professional sports works.
Dynasty? No. It will be one or two Cup wins for this iteration of the Leafs, and then almost certainly a long stretch of mediocrity as the core ages out like Chicago, Pittsburgh, Tampa, etc.Sums up this place nicely. Either a Cup winning Dynasty or on the verge of a rebuild.![]()

Welcome to trying to win the Stanley Cup, please see all the other contenders who constantly trade 1st round picks away for players........Let's be real here. We have arguably 2 prospects of any note in Cowan and maybe Danford neither move the needle. We have no draft picks because we traded them all at the TDL. 2 of our 4 core pieces are UFAs and likely to walk for nothing. We have no #1 dman, hell no #2 dman.
We have NO future. The only possible move this offseason is to throw money around in free agency. For any long time fans, we've seen this story before. We will end up paying players like Komaserk, Lombardi, Armstrong, Connolly, Clarkson, etc big money in free agency and be trash but with a cap strapped team.
There is a very real chance we have gifted Bruins another top 10 draft pick. I am nearing my breaking point with this team.

While Toronto has no 1st round picks, they have hit on their 2nd round picks for the most part.. Durzi,Robertson,Knies,Minten. While having a few busts and the jury being out on some of the players.
The D-core is set, and looks even better since they added Carlo. The reason why it's hard to walk away from both Tavares & Marner is because of the reason you said, Toronto hardly has any more premium assets to add to swing a big trade, and you don't build your team in free agency, just pissing away money overpaying for good to mediocre players.
Seems like an emotional post after the loss against Ottawa... How are you feeling today after two big wins against Calgary & Colorado?

Yes, it's always extreme luck when the Leafs win, and confirmation of how pathetic they clearly are when they lose. It can't possibly be somewhere in the middle.Calgary sucks and they got extremely lucky against Colorado. Lemme me know when they crush a great team or desperate team trying to claw into the playoffs.

They were not utterly outplayed. They gave up a bunch of harmless shots from the perimeter, which is why the shot count was what it was. The Leafs have a better goalie than the Avs. It wasn't much more complicated than that. They were utterly outplayed last night and relied on a goal from an extremely fortunate and unique bounce off the ref. LOL.

No they weren’t
Get your eyes checked, the Avs were all over them.

Sorry, it's bleak. We determined that after a 2 game losing streak. No takebacks.
It is what it is. There trying to win, I'd rather them try to win then milk the fans for money and put a shitty product on the ice for 10 years.. I remember how fun it was seeing them come in 10th-15th in the eastern conference for 10+ years. And I am saying we didn't get close to sniffing a cup but have all the downsides of teams who have won several times
If you're going to call controlling the play along the outside and cycling low to high for a point shot as "all over them" then sure.Get your eyes checked, the Avs were all over them.
I don't think there is any rule that says you have to continue being a Leaf fan if you are this fed up. Peace out, find a new team, or no team at all, choose happiness.
