The refs in the England vs France game made a lot of outrageous decisions. It started to feel like I was watching an NHL game.
France throughout most of the game did obvious trippings, etc. and a lot of them weren't called. Whereas England, until the last few minutes of the game out of desperation for a comeback, rarely did anything that wasn't subjectively a foul because a lot of times, they were just trying to kick the ball/head-butt it and not trip players unlike France where their intent was clear as day.
That 2nd penalty shot for England wasn't being called a penalty shot by the ref on the field even though it clearly was one, and he had to do a video review before making the right call (and took plenty of time on the video review). Just one of several examples of the officiating in the game. It was so bad, that the announcers pointed out multiple times when things should've been a foul and they weren't called (and in all of those instances, they were non-calls against France btw).
With England's elimination (after USA's obviously), now I don't really care who wins the world cup. I'm basically indifferent. I have "no dog in the fight" and I'm also not really much of a soccer fan either tbh.

Anybody but Argentina for me....their match against the Dutch turned me against them (not that the Dutch were angels either of course) due to their actions.
We'll get an ARG - FRA final with Messi given every chance to win the Cup. FIFA wouldn't have it any other way.

It did feel like Argentina was helped a bit (lot) against the Netherregions.
People definitely want the Messi cup storyline and it feels contrived.
France over Moroccos....3-1 and the Cocks win a fight against the diving Messis to take it all.
Is the French logo a cock or do they call it something else? Either way it's groovy.

I root for the teams I see diving less. (and that don't bite people)
In my viewings:
Divers: Brasil, Argentina
Non-divers: Moroccos, Netherregions, France, England, Crotches.
They didn't qualify this year, but ITALY are the all-time worst divers in history. Year in, year out.
I guess you could say their form...took a dive this year. Yeaahhhhh...

Iffy penalty call there. Dembele got completely burned either way but the Argentina player went down awfully easy
