He’s run his course. Neely has run his course. Wanting to keep them is complicit with not judging them on what Jacob’s says is the only thing that matters. Their cup team beat a 6-7-8 seed to get there.

Meh, a lot of over reaction to a lot of nothing. They came in defensive cause they expected heat. Overall they handled it fairly well but said next to nothing. I think they call that professionalism (lol).

Doesn't change my mind (I've always thought Neely was arrogant and had a temper) and Sweeney gets next season to right the ship. I was really impressed with the deadline pivot. A nice "tank" so to speak to get a top 5 pick along with some solid prospects. Kudos for recognizing that the team wasn't going to get it done. This is an attempt to be like Washington and have a quick turnaround. Now we see if he can get it done.

Sweeney & Neely are separate ~ Neely ain’t going anywhere. He says he’s the boss and he will decide Sweeney’s fate/extension or not based on what happens this coming season

Neely was a hockey God~ in his prime the Tkachuks couldn’t carry his jock. He’s going to make sure it stays that way.

Sweeney will be the fall guy if things go South and Neely will make the decision ~ Donny knows this

This was all about separation of duties and responsibilities ~ the shit sandwich is Sweeney’s and they pounded that home

Neely isn't getting a pass from me. This team has seen nothing but diminishing returns since he got here.

He wanted to fire Claude and Chi in the summer of 2011 but a certain event that summer derailed his plans.

Dude might be a one ice legend but he's given nothing from the management side worth keeping your job after 15 years of missed goals.

Especially since Sweeney and everything he's done has happened under Neely's watch.
