I was looking at the schedule on oilers site and noticed a huge amount of games are not yet scheduled to be televised. Has Sportsnet nixed their broadcast deal with the oilers or something?

Amen. I know most people prefer TSN's broadcast in terms of commentators, insight, production, etc, however I'd much rather watch SN broadcasts as the actually give a damn about the west.

a blessing for an Ontario fan without cable (me), as the sportsnet games will be on gamecentre, and CBC i can pick up on antenna

I've heard rumors about NHL Centre Ice being free or cheaper this year, as an apology to fans. Same about GameCentre. Can anyone confirm or deny either one?

Kinda rezzing this from the dead but did anyone look at the schedule in March? So many early starts...

Out of 15 games in March 9 of them start at 6:00pm or earlier... Thats weak.

I personally liked getting off work at 5, getting some takeout and lazing on the couch watching the game. If you like to do other things after work I can respect that. Games going until 10 or later is brutal imo

Some of the games actually start right at 5:00pm, so unless you have a teleporter you're going to miss a bit of it on the drive home.

I personally get off at 6:00pm
