I don’t really feel sorry for him tbh. One team has to win and one team has to lose. I’m sure it would have been even more heartbreaking for the Panthers to lose on their second straight trip to the finals and after being up 3 games to none.

You're the one saying Jordan at the same age hadn't won anything... completely ignoring the fact that he entered his league at 21 and not 18. Your "gotcha" attempt didn't work. Take the L.

RE bolded... that's not what I'm suggesting at all.
It absolutely worked because that is what I said, and it’s 100% stone cold fact. You simply forgot or didn’t know Jordan didn’t win until he was 28 and you looked dumb as hell with your comment. Your mental gymnastics desperately trying to save face don’t change that.

It’s unfortunate that him ripping into his teammates sounds like a temper tantrum.

Leaf fans have no business commenting negatively in this thread with our ex Captain and his personality of stone. Love to see the thunder in the Oilers Captain, any Captain for that matter.

I don't feel sorry for him, but I do believe he deserves to win one at some point. Someone with that much talent shouldn't have to have their storied career marred by that asterisk. I'm not even an Edmonton fan in any way. Some people just wanna hate for the sake of hating.

Meh doesnt seem like he really has the rooms attention. Drop some F bombs to sound angry isnt enough.

And im sure he lost his voice, but again, doesnt "sound" like someone you take seriously or who speaks up often.

I think most of us know there is a difference between a frustration laden post loss rant and an inspirational pre game prep talk.

Feels like some are confusing the two.

There are alot of posters in this thread who don't have a competitive bone in their body and it shows.

"I don't like the curse words" lol

oof that's cringey as hell  there's a big difference between a screeching temper tantrum and leadership.
The one time something like this pops up and its "cringey af" I bet stuff like happens all the time, to even back in the day. I bet guys like Mess raised shit like that too.

Lol everyone is just ignoring him. Beta mcdavid.

No problem with him yelling, a leader needs to keep his team accountable. The only weird thing is everyone else in the room just going about their business and acting like he's not even there.
Even makes me wonder if this is some ai thing where he's been added into a different video lol

The guy had 42 playoff points this past spring. He couldn't do it all. I like this video. Maybe there are things we don't always need to see, for example I know the trainers were trying to block the camera. Some things are sacred, like what happens in a locker room. So I get it. But either way, how can you criticize the Conn Smythe winner for yelling at his teammates? Messier did stuff like this and we thought he was heroic. McDavid is going to get his Cup, possibly in a few months. So this will age well.

i doubt messier ever sounded like a a 14 year old who just got grounded. less is usually more impactful, stevens being a great example of that. but i don’t blame mcdavid, what leaders did he have a chance to learn from?

The ones poking fun at McDavid for not being the best speaker and getting upset are the same who arent man or woman enough to do it in the first place

Sorry not every sports leader sounds like theyre in a movie and perfects public speaking

Spoken like someone who wont ever be in that situation, or any of significance for that matter

Whats wrong, never loved or been good enough at something to be upset? Youre a perfect example for my above post

You need this from your best and top guys, as a Canucks fan we see the same thing from JT Miller, I’m sure through out the league you would see the same from all teams. This is leadership.
