My cousin played against Ek Jr at timbits hockey.

My uncle mentioned how nice and humble Ek Sr is.

Makes me happy that he’s an Oiler!!
I have a friend in the Preds org and they said the exact same thing about him when he was traded here. Just everyone that's around him loves the guy. So happy he's an Oiler.

A great comeback win by the team and maybe helps the team persevere…… but

This was not a good game by the Oilers, especially by their D pairs. But, key players pulled the team out of the fire. Skinner battled after the 2nd goal and made some key saves.

The Oilers defence needs work and a lot of it is on their breakout passing.

I hope everyone saw what some of us mean with todays game

Loitering

Oil hang around in a Bruin style, low event game. Draisaitl a goal and 3 assists to stay red hot. Oil keep keep the Bruins at 2 despite generous home hospitality (25 giveaways). Oil elites find a way with the Break in Case of Emergency Stack Line option. Nuge's hockey sense on display with no panic OT dish for a Viking hammer OT winner.

Find a way to win is the message. Lots of loitering but resilient effort to win a trench warfare game. Christmas turkey not served early after all.
Yeah, credit where credit is due. Nuge made that winning goal happen. Well done Nugget!

Ekholm is such a beast.

My friend ski races with his wife and when they met they were like "oh, what does your husband do?" And Mrs. Ekholm was like "he's involved in hockey."

Like no bragging. No ego. They were friends for 2 months before my friend knew that this blonde lady with an accent was married to Ekholm haha

They love Edmonton. They love winter. This guy has been the biggest beauty add to this team and city in a decade or more.

I wish they would have drafted him. Dude would have been a career-long Oiler

Was annoying seeing people shit on him in the gdt. It’s so f***ing old.
I have been critical of him too but give credit where credit is due.

I thought he kept the Oilers in it with some big saves after period #1. I'll take the win but the effort in front of him tonight was underwhelming. More than once the D-men got walked. Way too soft on the puck.
