Congrats. I hate your team with a passion but I respect the hell out of their tenacity. Putting injuries and terrible officiating aside, you guys deserved this series. Also, Please don't try to return the courtesy of complimenting the sharks; they all deserve to be tar and feathered. Enjoy the semis. I'm going to go drink myself to sleep (don't judge).

it was intense

it seriously was

i won't deny your team has inflicted fear into me...often!

they have the intensity, they don't have the consistency

but a solid team nonetheless

the difference here, is mostly experience

but kudos! respect the sharks fans :)

McLellan, Thornton and Marleau have to go, and Couture has to be made captain. Just a bit of a re-tool, and the Sharks can be a legit contender.

Great and intense series! I always respect the Sharks and have always rooted for them back when the Kings weren't a playoff team.

Nieto and Hertl are nice new pieces. They were dangerous in every game. Stalock can be a real good goaltender. You may not like your coach.. and sure he's to blame to not fixing your issues in the course of the series, but he seems like a likeable guy that gets a lot wins (esp in the reg. season).

I'd rather trade JOE before getting rid of MCLellan. Marleau still scares me... something DOES need to change though.

A month or so ago one of the Sharks forum mods came in here and told me I was full of it for asserting that the Sharks will never win with Thornton at the helm.

I rest my ****ing case.

The sooner he and Marleau are shown the door and Couture is given the C, the sooner they'll get that franchise back on track.

Said this in the series thread but I echo everyone's emotions in here. Sharks are a worthy and amazing opponent.

Just a bummer someone had to go home. epic series, great hockey, Sharks have a hell of a team and it's tough to see one of us go out early. Love chilling with you guys here and at the rinks.

I loved the postgames from all the Sharks though, Couture really owned it. Sharks fans should take pride in that--every one of those guys knew what was up and though many will say "blah blah results" year after year your organization is doing something right to always finish high in the standings--just need a break or two to take it to the next level (and maybe a D revamp, but I digress).

Congrats, everyone. You have yourselves an amazing team and coaching staff. Definitely an envy of much of the league.

Best of luck in the future rounds.

I said this in the gdt two games ago, but I have a lot of respect for Sharks fans. Sure, both team's fans squabble during gdts and such for everything (what fans don't? it's passion), but there's a degree of mutual understanding that just isn't present with other rivals. I see arguing, bitter disputes, but there's always an underlying respect that's present for both these clubs' fans.

I went to Fanime (read: nerdy convention) last year and brought my Kings jersey and wore it around San Jose. Other than the expected jeering, I wasn't berated or anything. In fact, I'd had a few fantastic conversations with Sharks fans and they were all cool. Mad respect.

We knew a great team would go home this series and they did. I give respect to the way your team was ready to take advantage of every single weakness in games 1-2. Many people were in awe of the talent.

However, next time please don't steal our torta magic. Best of luck next year*! I look forward to our next tango.

*just not against us, please.

McLellan is a very good coach that will have much success elsewhere.

He will stay in San Jose.

Also next year when we meet I hope both teams are 100% injury free.

But, how can you guys, after just watching those 7 games, put blame on Marleau over other Sharks players. There were maybe 3 Sharks better than him
