Zadorov is far from the problem in Boston. He has a bad start to the season as the whole team, but he will be back with a system strcurated especially defensively. The guy hits, he fights brings toughness to the team, will play in PK, no problem with Zad

Eh, yeah I wouldn't expect him to be a problem now.

The core of Chara/Bergeron/Rask/Krejci is finally done, thank god. That's the real problem at the moment. Lack of leadership and that's not Marchy's fault either. Just to be expected with the cyclical nature of sports.

Friedman on 32 thoughts speculates that perhaps Zadorov going back to Van would be a good fit.

Canucks pov: They need a huge upgrade on the top 4 and Big Z aint it. I dont think he is better than Soucy which is saying alot because Soucy has sucked this year.

I think the Canucks are looking for bigger fish to fill that massive need of an upgrade in the TOP4.

Big Z's contract is also a big no thanks. He got paid for a great playoff run but he was meh in Vancouver during the regular season and was even a healthy scratch. There were also talks that Van was going to flip him by the TDL after acquiring him in December.

Are Bosotn fans already unhappy with Z?
Should of given it the rumour or speculation tag

Zadorov played over 22 minutes tonight, and 20 minutes last game. No penalties and no goals against. Big minutes on the PK too (which has killed 8 straight PP's).

Sacco seems to love him.

I was very glad when the Flames traded him. He was never going to live up to a contract that paid him like an actual top 4 dman. I cannot remember who it was but there was a Flames fan who said he was a top pairing dman haha
Likewise, I was happy when the Leafs didn't trade for him from Calgary last season, or sign him as a free agent this year.

His rumored interest in the Leafs was only because he smelled money.

Thank you to the Bruins for taking him off the market for the rest of us.

Love Zadorov but no. We'd need retention to make it work which I doubt Boston even considers.

I mean I'd consider Desharnais for Zadorov straight up if Boston was desperate to cut their losses - which I doubt they'd do - but we couldn't even make that work cap-wise anyways.

And I wouldn't do DeBrusk I don't think, he's a better player.
The Bruins have all three retention spots open.

Have they ever used one? I wouldn't know, but they don't seem like the kind of operation that would be happy playing a player to play for someone else.

Sacco is an interim coach who will be completely behind everything and anything management does until he gets a better contract.

So, yeah, I'm sure Sacco does love Zadorov . . . and good for all if Zadorov is playing well in return 🙂

I would do Desharnais for Zadorov 20% retained. I doubt that interests Boston, but I'm even iffy on that deal with the length of Zads contract.
