I thought
Phil Kessel was well liked by everyone

...especially the Rink Vendors... :biglaugh:

even if he's right when you become a problem in the room wherever you go:

I don't see any evidence of him becoming a problem in this instance. His answer is completely justified and it doesn't seem like he did anything other than mention his displeasure with something that was totally uncalled for.

in the press. That's something you keep in the room, same goes for the Tkachucks with that FWIW

JT Miller needs to chill out.

If you have a problem with everyone, you are the problem.
This isn't actually true. Sadly, most people seem to think the right thing to do is to just be quiet and to take it. Then they feel threatened by guys like Miller who calls them out for their bs.

So let me get this straight. Matt Tkachuk stages a fight so he can look good. Picks a smaller non fighter, so he can win. Gets injured during the fight. Brags about the group chat to media upsetting his teammates. Then he insists on playing the final, only to be too hurt to actually play and leaves his team short handed. And they lose in OT.

Amazing
Love it! You summed it up perfectly and it looks good on him

Only I heard he didn’t win the fight. That’s gotta be embarrassing

Huh? All three fights were instigated by American players. Just because the Canadians obliged doesn’t mean it was staged.
They weren't 'instigated' based on big hits, cheapshots, or the way the gameplay was playing out since the game had clearly just begun. Haven't you seen NHL games where line brawls start immediately after the puck drops to start the game? Those are fights arranged in advance and not spur of the moment reactions to the way the current game is unfolding. Miller getting mad about the Chat leaking suggests he doesn't want the public to know about any pre-planning or pre-discussion about engaging in fights. Notice how I didn't make the claim that just because someone simply fought that it was 'staged'? If there was a huge hit or a cheapshot and a fight immediately ensued then clearly no one would suggest that fight was staged/preplanned.

Has there been any talk about our honorary team captain Gretzky? If America wants him they can claim him as one of their own today for a loonie or two. He’s getting blasted by most Canadians

Once again, wrong. It’s a charged game given the current climate between our countries, and no Canadian was going to back down from a physical invitation from an American that game. It was apparent in how the fights were approached, and who was doing the instigating.

Nothing wrong with that.

But no one wants to be around someone who always thinks they're right either.

There's a fine balance and it looks like JT Miller has no concept of what that means. He would rather hurt team chemistry to prove his point.

Yes because historically exhibition games commonly start off with 3 fights in 9 seconds. Riiiight. Sorry you're not seeing the publicity stunt for what it was. Worked like a charm though.

Something to do with him walking through the USA bench and being nice to everybody idk.
He didn’t wear a team Canada sweater like the American captain did. Sorry I have trouble spelling Mikes last name. In fact not one hint of Canadas colours. He gave the American team the thumbs up when he walked by him. He’s in photo ops with a certain political figure from America. He’s getting disowned by a number of Canadians.
