Stolarz was solid again.

Detroit couldn’t get ANYTHING in the 3rd, and the very little they did, stolarz was there
Really liked marners game, thought Benoit and Timmins were good. Man that third line is on the cusp of doing it, but it may be too late.
Seemed by the eye test that they played the bottom six more in the end, hopefully that means tmrw they are rested for the Habs

The November Streak will continue. Only risky game this month will be on the 27th against Florida.
Dunno if I see the Wings in a playoff spot come April... depends on how bad the rest of the East is I guess, but they cannot be a betting favourite.
Tidy is the operative word. They got a little lazy in the third with some turnovers and got themselves on their heels, but DET wasn't really able to generate much. And when they did Stolarz was on mop up duty.

5 on 5 there were some clear limitations offensively for the team without Matthews.
They beat a lousy Detroit team they should have beat.
I liked McMann tonight, he brought it and clearly wants more ice time.

It's interesting watching the team play without Matthews. I enjoy watching the other stars on the team not deferring to 34 and making their own plays. Yes, we're better with Matthews, but I do think some of the other star players are somewhat neutered when they play with him... especially on the PP; where the predictability has vanished.

Solid game. Got kinda boring but winning is never boring at the end of the day.
People call it boring, but I like this hockey alot more than Keefe hockey. I do not miss that cute, careless hockey. That was shinny, not hockey.
Getting the goaltending and a resurgence of what should always have been a decent PP.
I just hope tomorrow isn't a trap game. This wasn't a spirited affair so one would think they should have mental and physical energy still.
