Maybe it’s just me, but those both suck. The cannon looks awkwardly big to me, and who puts a freaking racing stripe on a hockey helmet?

Put normal sized TV numbers on the CBJ ones, and you have a pretty solid new uniform going forward, for a team that IMO is in desperate need of a refresh. I like them.

Detroit, well, you're never going to do better than their actual kit, and this feels weirdly like the Michigan team wearing an Ohio State template.

They're not bad but for the CBJ jerseys, I think it's weird to just have the cannon and no "Columbus" or a "C" on the jersey. Even one that's hidden on the Cannon itself.

It's a Stadium Series game, not a Heritage Classic.

Also, the last time we tried to bring back the ribbon logo we ended up looking like a knockoff of the Caps.

I didn't expect the Jackets to get this right, so I'm shocked. I love the silver. It's actually shimmering in the videos, not just gray. But I also loved the Kings silver domes and the Vegas sprakle bling jerseys.

The Wings are so obsessed with looking classic that they usually just land on boring, but the stripe on the helmet is excellent.

Detroit should have put Hockeytown on the jersey and Detroit on the pants, and Columbus needs to get rid of that thin red stripe at the bottom because all piping sucks. If you wanted to include a red stripe at the bottom just make it thicker.

I actually kind of like the Detroit helmet, not sure if it’s intended to do this but it gives University of Michigan hockey vibes. It also gives Ohio State hockey vibes as well though, so that’s less than ideal.

I really like the Columbus jersey and I'm usually not a fan of their stuff.

The cannon being the main part of CBJ's primary logo would be good in theory, but it's tricky in practice. I had no doubt that the cannon on its own wouldn't work, and this confirms it. But, on the other hand, the roundel with the team's name is clunky and overdone. CBJ needs another design element in combination with the cannon to get it right. I'd show a concept idea, but I've never figured out a good alternative for them either...

Aside from that, the jersey seems solid. I actually like the thin stripes that have been part of CBJ's identity since their switch away from the originals. I would not call that piping, as long as it runs horizontal at the waist and/or elbows, or vertical from collar to cuff, it's just a normal stripe, but thinner than most teams use. Looks sleek, imho.

Columbus really need to make the cannon their main logo, the one from their cream/navy 3rd jersey would be perfect.

The logo is bit too big here and looks awful lot like Kraken jerseys.

Detroit one is okay, but the helmet kinda ruins it.

As for the actual jersey, it's not bad. Though I'd lose "Hockeytown" off the pants. The Wings trademarking that slogan has always been cringey to me.

Neither of these jerseys do that IMO.

It's unquestionably an alternate design for the Jackets, and while it's got some deficiencies it looks like the basis of something that could work longer-term. There's just some adjustments that would need to be made - particularly around the shoulders and to the logo - and that could be a decent brand.

Beyond that... we've existed longer than the Kraken, so we get first dibs regardless. That's how it works, right?

First time in a LONG time that they nailed both teams jerseys for one of these events. I'm a little shocked. If I was a fan of either team I would be buying one for sure.

I... actually really like both of those. That Wings helmet is perfect for a Stadium Series, too.
