You set your lineup every day (once the season begins). You dress:

2LW
2C
2RW
4D
2G

daily.

Clicking “play active players” will dress players that have games scheduled that day. It’s like an auto lineup button. But let’s say you have 5 D who are playing that day but only 4 D slots. If you just click that button, Yahoo will automatically dress 4 active D. But you might have a feeling that you wanna dress the guy whose on the bench instead because he’s going to have a big day.

You can trade players, as well as waive players and pickup players who weren’t drafted/have been waived.

But the head to head matchup is your lineup vs someone else’s lineup and it changes each week. So did my players pick up more goals, points, hits, PIMs, etc. than my opponents? That’s why managing who is dressed matters. If you think the guy on your bench is going to have a big day or has been on a hot streak you may want to dress him.

I don't believe you can. I think IR is specific to players whose teams have placed them on LTIR.

Thanks what I thought. ESPN allows players with an O to be put on IR but I’m guessing Yahoo doesn’t allow it.
