there is a minimum OV rule in place, why have a salary floor? not looking to add like 10 million just for the sake of being above the salary floor...
ontop of that there is about 10 teams fighting off debt or are in debt and about half the league wold be putting forward negatives to comply with a 30M floor, that could be an indicator enough to click up the Revenue scale one tick. each team shold be able to afford 60$M (40 in salaries 20 in the bank give or take from those 2 totals depending on how much each team wants to spend)
also an idea maybe we could give the new GM's "signing bonuses" of about 10M if the team has less than 10M in the bank... i took over Phoenix last year, 3M in debt and with nothing i still had to move a few prospects/players in deals that included money just to get it back up to par, for an already destroyed team structure it set me back quite a bit from where i could be now, and i think it would really help new GM's
Of note, defenceman Andy Wozniewski's RFA qualifying offer was rescinded due to an error in submission. He is now an Unrestricted Free Agent.
It's gonna be one quiet FA period...
Thanks for working through all those offers, Reggie - it can't have been fun...
Well it wasn't very quiet for your Blue Jackets!
Sad but true. As with any shopping therapy binge, the post-purchase feeling of doubt and regret is starting to seep in. The season can't get here fast enough, when hopefully the team's brilliant performance will help me forget how much it's going to cost me!
Here's the list of players who have trade restrictions for this season. Remember, if you re-signed a pending UFA before that player hit free agency, you cannot trade him until after the All-Star break without penalty. RFAs that had offer sheets are listed below as well. These players cannot be traded this season except to the team that extended the offer sheet. For more info (teams that made offer sheets), check the 2007 free agency page.
UFA'S - CANNOT BE TRADED UNTIL AFTER ALL-STAR BREAK

Please add:
Arron Asham Columbus 2 years x $1,150,000
(although if you want me to be able to trade him without consequence, I'm ok with that!).

Hasnain, Mair's contract was for 2 years. I just looked at the excel file and noticed you have it correct on Florida's sheet, but incorrect on the UFA main sheet.
SWINGSTEIN & SONS are proud to announce that Scott Walker of Buffalo Sabres has agreed to sign a two year contract extention with the Sabres for $2.5M per season. The package includes a $2M attached to current salary for this season and $2M for next two years. We wish the Scott Walker and Sabres organiation all the best
Walker is a Predator. Must be somebody else as I did not send an offer for Walker cause his contract runs through next season.
Did the Swingstein firm get the offers I sent a couple weeks back?
