I didn't say he was better than Staal. I agreed he would be a #4 on this team, but that doesn't mean he is VERY good.

He was given an NMC on that deal. I have a feeling he took less money to be guaranteed not to ride the bus in the AHL.

I love DZ, but I think you're greatly underrating Hamonic.

I've watched him plenty, and I still like MDZ at his best better. My point is, I'm not giving even Staal a 7 year deal right now. I think that long of a commitment for a good (not great) player is just silly.

could really use one more top 9 player, preferably top 6..

and before anyone says anything, I get that Kreider isn't a top line player yet but he might work really well with Stepan and Nash.

AV said the Rangers want to have alot of young guys competing for spots.. we have 4 bottom 6 fixtures for sure at the moment (brassard/richards (whoever is worse in camp), Boyle, Dorsett and Moore.
