With the going rate on mediocre players because of the rising cap, I'm not sure playing along is best of ideas.

Obviously, the team needs 2 defencemen, but is it worth handcuffing the team with bad contracts (i.e. another Suter)?

Duchene and Steel's contracts are awesome so far, be patient guys. Nill can't help it if other teams offer players something ridiculous like Tanevs deal

I know Duchene was disappointing in the playoffs but I will take him at 3M over any of the big $ number free agent signings because it allows us to spend on D man. However, we need to sign that D man (Roy) to make the savings really matter.
