We have plenty of two-way forwards and I have upgraded our defense and goaltending. The one thing we are missing is goal scorers. Adding Stamkos and Skinner addresses the lack of goal scoring. Larkin, Ray, DeBrincat, Kane, Skinner and Stamkos are all capable of scoring 30 goals.

Detroit was 9th in league scoring last year. They do not need to add this guy.

The wings biggest problem was not offense. It was defense and goaltending by a wide margin. Skinner doesn’t fix that problem.

Remove any and all defensive accountability and you'd be surprised by the numbers Berggren can put up. Points scored 10-15 years ago don't do the Wings any good moving forward.

Berggren isn't producing as much as Kane or Stamkos any time soon, but there's no reason he can't be a middle six winger this year, seeing as we are going to not sign a single new forward.
