They can't. They don't have a lot of cap flexibility.

Detroit can't afford that.

Hypothetically:
Kane 5.5
Raymond 7.5
Seider 8.5
Trouba 5.5 (NYR retains 2.5)
Stamkos 6

That's 33 million, when they have 32 million in cap space.
Yes they can, they can exceed the cap by 10% until the season starts, they can buy out Holl and trade Maata or Fabbri. They can do it and will do it if they’re successful with their plan

They have more than you think.

They have 32 and some change. With all the best case scenario contracts they're over 33 million.
They have 16 million after Raymond and seider. That's enough to get kane and Stamkos while bringing in league minimum players to fill out the remaining spots. Edvinsson Johansson burger
Kane and Stamkos will likely be 12 million together. That means Detroit has to sign 5-6 players on 4 million dollars.

No, they can't. Even if they buy out all of those players they'd still be under the minimum roster and near the cap. Detroit needs 8 players and have 16 million in cap space after they get Ray and Mo done. If you cut 3 players they will need 8 players after they add Trouba, Stamkos and Kane and will have no cap space.

Ok but if they sign Raymond and seider to 2 year bridge deals around 6m that leaves 8 mil. But kane will probably be around 6, but stammer is fine with a 4-5 m cap hit on a front loaded deal that will likely end in ltiretirement so it's probably likely that the two of them end up around 10-11

There is no way either of them agree to 6 million dollars.

That is the most inside-the-box thinking I’ve ever seen.
Yzerman literally just said moving money is so hard he needs to use 2nd round picks to move 3.4 million in cap.

There is ways to move money around over multiple seasons with bonus clauses and differed payments. It's been stated already in here several times.

There is no way Ray and Mo are taking less than they're worth on their first big money contracts.

It's called a bridge deal. Hell they could sign them for 6m each for a year tomorrow and then immediately sign them to 8 year extensions for 8.5 if they want. Giving them cap flexibility this season and a big money contract going forward

Would... you personally do something like that vs a 8,7,6 year deal at 8 million?

I highly, highly doubt it, especially when you can get hurt tomorrow in your sport. They both, have all the leverage, not the other way around. They'd be doing a favor for the Wings with a bridge deal.

Well what I just said would have them locked up for 9 years for 74 million. So yes I would

Again that's a fantasy. No athlete is taking a haircut when they're their teams best player and this is their first big contract. And Yzerman should be fired if he tries to burn RFA years on small contracts when he could eat some prime UFA years cheap. This is literally how cap hell happens.

You clearly have reading comprehension issues. They're not taking a paycut in the scenario I presented and will in fact make more over the 9 years they'd be under contract.

I disagree that the Wings don't have cap flexibility. They have lots of guys that are expendable/moveable if the right deal comes along. Fabbri, Rasmussen, Chiarot, Holl, Maatta, Petry, and Husso could all be traded/bought out/waived if needed.

The only guys we know will be here next year are Larkin, DeBrincat, Compher, Raymond, Kane, Seider, Edvinsson, and probably Copp.
