Rutger McGroarty is a prospect. He's not a huge addition. Ehlers is vastly injury prone. I'd only pray for a Pinto acquisition because he plays hard both ways. Necas is not a two way player. He's soft as diaper rash.
Ehlers is not injury prone lol. He has played in 86% of his teams games over his 9 years.

So judging by the lack of significant moves KA feels that at least 1 prospect is going to be on line 2 or 3 opening night.

Still not wild about this blue line at all.

He has a full roster now, and he’s literally done every single thing he said he’d do. The roster is now 100% his guys and they’re not looking to trade any of them.

The trades would have been to fill the Zucker and Lafferty roles - he’s not trading those two after he just signed them.
JJP, Tuch, Benson, Quinn, Zucker, and Greenway as the top 9 wingers is not going to instill a ton of confidence.

And @Gabrielor has to be right about Krebs breaking out at 3C. If not...

I think much of Lindholm's poor numbers are a result of deciding he wanted out of Calgary early on last season. His rumored dumb contract demands were just because he didn't want to stay there. He's got more to offer, and Boston isn't stupid with the guys they go and get.
Signing him through his age 36 season is the big bet. And he's come off of back to back less than stellar seasons after Johnny Hockey bailed on Calgary.

Maybe he can click with Pasta and it isn't horribad after a couple of years. But, it is a sizable gamble on a guy that turns 30yo before Christmas.

Will fix everything
Kevyn's additions report card. so far:

Malenstyn for a 2nd: C-. Good player, terrible overpay.
Lafferty, 2 years, 2M. B. Contract slightly above market for a pretty garden variety 4C.
NAK: 1 year, 1.5M. B+. Good 4th liner, around market
Zucker: D-. The only thing keeping this from being an F is the fact its 1 year. Zucker is a pretty 1 dimensional forward who can't stay healthy whose offensive contributions are on the decline The last 5 years he's scored 77 goals...total. Paying almost 30-40% over market rate for a guy who couldn't crack the top six in Arizona and got moved at the deadline for a 6th round pick

Overall an incomplete, obviously. But....rebuidling the 4th line is good.

The Zucker signing is laughably bad. Zucker got a 1 year, 5.3M deal after scoring 27 goals in Pittsburgh last year.

He scored 14 and looked cooked and we give him 5M. Just a desperate, bad signing by KA.

Duclair for 4 x $3.5mm seems like an insanely good value.

He scored 24 goals last year. Am I missing something?

It's a 1 million dollar overpay. 4 million was what ADP had him pegged for in a tax heavy state and we got him on 1 year. It's fine. He's also not nearly as cooked as you're suggesting, I think he will be just fine in a bottom 6 role.

Kevyn idiot. Seriously, they invited a normal coach, but now can they invite a normal GM?

Zucker will be better than Olofsson for only 250k more. And then next year, he's gone.
