On days like today, I really with twitter links worked on HFB. Is the trick still to replace the "x" in the url with "twitter" so the tweets show up? (Right now, I have to actually click the link before the tweet shows up on HFBoards. Or maybe there's just a massive delay?)

Also, LOL: TSN's Free Agent Frenzy show hasn't even started yet, and many of the big deals have already broken.
It’s really strange. On my iPhone I can post X links and they show. But from my iPad it only gives the link. Very strange and i don’t have the time/patience to figure it out.

Seems Niskanen-like. Hopefully the numbers aren't too bad, assuming it happens.

Dumb question, but if the Caps team (and rest of the league) use capfriendly so much, any chance one of them screws up and publishes a version --- giving us insight into what might actually take place? Parsing which ones are real is a different story I know.

McMichael deal was up there real fast, it may have been same time as the media reported it?

Love this McMichael deal. Thought he would get 2.5M+. Definitely makes him an attractive trade piece.

Caps do a good job of squeezing players to sign or risk getting moved. In particular the Gus move two years ago which i knew pretty well given his agent is a friend of mine. Their camp was pissed when he got traded because they were working on an extension and couldn’t come to terms. I think similar with Malenstyn. So I think we squeezed McMichael a bit but fine. This bridge deal could be really good for him as well. If he doesn’t get moved! Haha.

McMike is an excellent trade piece now.I found it interesting when Mac said he sees Lappy as a center. Makes me think a center gets moved. And Riley Sutter deserves to graduate.

What we can spend today (pleasecorrectme if im incorrect):

Summer Cap 10% Cushion $8,800,000
Backstrom's LTIR Relief $9,200,000

less current overage. $2,831,667

subtotal $15,186,333

So from the subtotal we need to subtract anyone who is on a one-way (Shep @$1M) and what we pay MMC.

So let's say for simple math we pay CMM $4,166,000

That gives GMBM $10,000,000 to play with.

Thats without any Oshie LTIR factored in. We then have to deal with losing the Summer Cushion by training camp. But then we can use potential relief from Oshie LTIR. Not sure of the exact timing of that.

Other factors are we can trade out players before training camp and I believe be can delay the CMM signing until any Oshie LTIR Relief kicks in (although we may have come to terms) as by extending the QO we retain his rights.

If all the foregoing is true we have $10M to playe with today.

I like Trenin but not at that number, Jesus Christ
Was about to say the same thing. 4x3.5M seems nuts at first blush, but I guess we already saw with Beck getting a 2nd that defensive specialists are in vogue right now in the NHL. What's Beck gonna get when he reaches UFA?

Top PKing forwards available sorted by PKTOI last season: Stenlund, Kelly, Henrique, Lindholm, Wennberg, Motte, Leason, DeBrusk, Janmark, Stephenson, Martinook.

Janmark was pretty nails for EDM in the SCF in particular.
