Perreault is a guy you move for Tkachuk, Marner etc. Not Ehlers. Othmann would be a guy you move for Ehlers and I still would not do that. Ehlers another forward that isn’t a skilled physical player.

Even with this season’s cap increase there are teams up against the cap.
UFAs who don’t sign today might be up against a supply and demand scenario.
Drury could get some desperate 1 year steals.
For the player and their agent a one year bad contract in North America weighed against uprooting and playing in Europe for one season.
