The Rangers just need to get to the TDL with cap space. No need to go balls to the wall now and commit money and term.
Chris Drury needs to keep his powder dry. 25/26 should prove to be a better group of UFAs. The Rangers will also need cap for some of their own core.

We just got lucky to be able to get rid of Goodrow. Only to repeat the same f***ing mistake, of overpaying a SC winning grinder?

If you are a contender, those guys are playing for you near league minimum. And then they get paid, usually in some shittier team where they are brought in for experience. No contender should make the mistake of bringing those guys in. We did with Goodrow.
