Considering yet another very positive night in the out of town scoreboard, it'd be unfortunate if Staios can't give this team any sort of boost.

Even the mental aspect of "okay we're going for it" would be good for this group, who's only ever known selling.

IMO, we either take the next step, make the playoffs, and keep this core together. Or we miss and enter a retool in the summer. So what's like a 2nd and 3rd to make a bit of an upgrade now?

I have the opposite feeling. The issue is it’ll be very hard to make a deal without sending cap back. I don’t see Staios trading Perron or Giroux.

Mayyyybe Amadio, maybe Forsberg… but otherwise not many options. Don’t see them trading Norris before the offseason. Maybe Greig if a long term upgrade is out there…

I have a feeling Donato will be in Ottawa. His salary is very appealing and his versatility.

Staios was a player so he understands that we have the door open to make the playoffs and we need more depth. I think he adds for sure.
