What’s the cap situation like with Lindholm done for this season and this trade

Those 2 moves don't add space one on top of the other. If losing Frederic (or other) salary lowers their cap, then the amount the can go over the cap to replace Lindholm also goes down. In order to get the full value of Lindholm on LTIR they have to be right up against it.

Don’t be surprised if this is the only trade. They now have a full draft card (though maybe missing a fourth this year? Since this one is 2026) and it’s not like it tips the scales on their chances at making the playoffs this year.

Listen to offers from everyone for everyone and get picks or prospects. Team is s*it run over and everyone knows it. It reminds me of some ways the last Thornton years where you could tell there was a divide in the room. Talent is one thing. Chemistry on the ice is another. Neither one is there. Things need to change.

Get assets, clean front office out before the draft and accept you'll stink for a few years. Use top 10 draft picks to hopefully fill the roster with talent. This team is one that any top seed would love to meet in the first round. We're in Old Yeller territory. Fire the shotgun.

I like this deal, they had to move Frederic, guy was becoming a passenger more and more and was not coming back here next year anyway, bonus they get rid of Jones. The 2nd pick we needed as we had none and the St.Louis pick will be pretty decent.

Is it unrealistic to hope Wanner could be a 3rd pair guy like McQuaid? I don’t know anything about him, but sounds like a big guy with bite in his game based off what we’ve seen.
