Freddie Anderson

It depends on team but Boston, Tampa and Montreal would not miss a beat. We on the other hand are massively screwed.

Tampa this season would certainly miss a beat.

Carey Price is a massive part as to why the Habs have done as well as they have.

Boston is smart, and dedicated cap space to a second goalie. Rask-Halak is easily the best tandem in the league, you are right.

Kinkaid is fine and the Habs would not miss a beat. The Habs are not winning because of Price this season. It fact he has cost them 2 games.
McBackup plays better when he has to step up short term. As long as Vasi was only out a month no biggie there.
Toronto is in DIRE straights if we lost Freddy.

losing by 4 goals instead of 2 makes no difference.

Leafs management needs to get rid of our 2 Deflators

Andersen with the bad goals and Babs by playing the wrong line to lose momentum.

Team set up to make some noise now. A first round pick lost sooner or later (that ideally doesn't fall in the 11th-15th range). They certainly shouldn't be anticipating a downward trend like that (the ship sinking faster).

I think he's had a nice year minus the Tampa game and maybe a couple goals here and there. He's really made some major saves at key times as well, even though key times no longer seem to be a thing with the way we play.

The only place I wish he would improve on is when the player walks in from the side in close and slides one low on him. Examples are the 3rd goal vs. the Islanders, the Dubois goal vs. Columbus etc. At the same time, would be nice if our D wouldn't let these guys walk right in like its nothing. But would be nice for him to shore up that area.

Agreed on the habs. They have the breakout structure drilled in them and the buy in is 100%. Speed matches ours.

They have Webber and Domi - 2 guys that turn games around on their own.

We have Matthews.

Marner Nylander and JT this season is MEH.

2 years ago we were the speedy leafs - the league has adjusted by adding a speedster or two.

Price is still a tier above Freddy.

Habs year 2 of rebuild...
Is beating ours on year 5.

what happens if Freddie gets hurt long term does the ship sink faster ?

If Freddy gets hurt, we get a lottery pick as a consolation prize.

If Freddy stays healthy and Babcock doesn't get fired this season, we still get a lottery pick as a consolation prize.

Whoever has a problem with Andersen is missing everything. By that i mean blaming him in any way shape or form. Not even going to elaborate or reply to arguments on this. Thats all i have to say on it.

The entire coaching staff needs to beat the feet.

That 1st goal was night ... ugly ugly ugly ... I realize it was a PP goal but a goalie like the flower makes that save and covers it up 10 times out of 10 times

Fleury's first goal against was worse, so I don't know about 10/10

There isn't a goalie alive who could bail out this Leafs team.

Always interesting when someone starts a negative thread and then never returns to post in it.

Stoners and Spezzas goals were bullets an inch under bar at full force close to goalie mask from the dots. That is probably the hardest shot to save in the league. I don't care how fast a guy can move his catching glove. It is rarely ever made.

The first goal against Freddy saw the pass, saw the shot and it got through his legs and he opened up to find it instead of staying tight. All I'm saying is that if you think Freddy is world class then he makes that save. I do not think he is world class. I think he is a very good goalie but not at all close to fleury. Fleury made 3 saves that were 10 bellers with game on the line.
