Perfetti can be upgraded. For a team that wants to go far that is something that seriously needs to be looked at. Thats what winning teams do. Perfetti just dosnt have what is needed to go deep in the playoff's in my opinion. Quite being suck a fanboi, you do whats got to be done for the betterment of the team not one player.

Well we disagree on that. I think he will be an integral part of this teams core once in his prime. Also no, great teams don't trade pieces like Cole to upgrade their teams. Name the last team that did so.

And no an over the hill Tarasenko or Eberle aren't improvements over how he played the first half.

Fortunately I think this org has far more patience then you.

Also kindly f*** off with telling me how to be a fan of the team.

I liked our entire game..... getting down 3 wasn't indicative of the play.....in my opinion.

That was my thinking watching the 2nd.
I may have been a little biased though because by then I already knew they were going to tie it. Didn't know how it would end yet but it is easier to like their play when you know that. Pros and cons of watching it delayed.

Putting 27 on the top line sparked the game for the Jets and had that line spend some time in the o-zone that they hadn't done for weeks. Something many of us have been asking for weeks.

That top line can only handle 1 passenger at a time. So far 81 and 13 are passengers, that puts a lot of workload on 55. With 55 and 27 together doesn't matter who the third guy is whether it is 13 or 81... they can do the work let the third guy do what they do best- finish.

Who else thinks that the coach is still gonna be stubborn and take 27 off of that line as soon as everyone is healthy?

And people wonder why there was so much complaining about that top line.
I'm an Ehler fan. I have his name on the back of my jersey.
But let's be fair.
The Scheifele, Conner, Vilardi line have had dominating games.
And Ehler has had games where he's thrown the puck away.

Otherwise, Ehlers is an incredible talent. Did you see how well he controlled the puck into the Canes zone? Wow!

All ten! Usual prep for a big night. Have also bought a couple of expensive little steaks, too. But really, I thought I'd have a quiet and slightly depressing third period and then I ended up pacing the floor with my fingers interlocked. I can't believe how well this team plays (yes, even Schmidt!) when they put their mind to it.

So .............. 5 fingers and 5 toes?

If a player needs to be babied and put into a position to succeed by the coach, then we dont need them in the lineup. Jets have as good a shot to go on a run as they've ever had. No room for passengers. Send him to the Moose if thats the case and bring in a top 6 guy at or before the deadline.

Go all in. Bring in a guy with some term even at the cost of a top prospect. Any prospect not names McGoat should be in play. Including Perfetti and Lambert.
I love Perfetti and Lambert, but I can’t help but wonder how a bull of a player like Brady Tkachuk would transform the Jets top 6.

A player like Tkachuk is probably not popular with most Jets fans, but he’d be an upgrade on Perfetti and strengthen this team. Ottawa would need to take a salary dump though.

*DISCLAIMER* Don’t actually think anything like this would happen. Denials in Ottawa that he’s even available.

Just some food for thought.

Youre not wrong. I've been a proponent of adding some size or bite to our top 6. That's why earlier this year I liked Vatrano who plays with a bit of bite along with being able to put the puck in the net.

I think eventually Brady will do the same flyer as his brother.

I like how the jackets get passed around you don't have to be best player, sure Nino scored 2 but Ehlers was the best Jet on the ice all game and Joshua had a much better all around game than Schmidt but the players have made a decision to be all inclusive with the jackets and as long as we win I have no issues on who gets them.
And I don't think it is a conscious decision, but rather a group understanding that everyone needs to feel included. IMO this comes from really strong internal leadership.

Did I say I wanted to move Perfetti. I think he has a bright future. But if the right move came along that would increase our chances a a Cup over the next few years I would consider moving him. Any GM would be an idiot for not exploring that.

Perfetti can also go down to the Moose to find his game again. He is the only roster player who can do that without clearing waivers. To make room for a top 6 guy, that could also be explored snd once playoffs roll around Perfetti could always be added to the roster.

Also, I said nothing about Eberle or Tarsenko so you can also kindly f*** off for putting words in my mouth.

I just hope Chevy isn't nearly as close minded as you seem to be. In order to win in this league any avenue that can be explored to give your team a better chance had to be. Included possibly moving Perfetti.
