The only joke is that anyone actually considers this guy a journalist. The guy says outlandish crap that he likely doesn’t even believe to get attention. The only attention he, and people like him, should be given is mockery.

I agreem he's trash... but jokes like that aren't just a shot at him, but every person that is overweight

Idk.. Weekes just doesn't have the volume. I feel like he talks about expansion stuff and coaching changes but less so about player movement.

This is all my opinion and view anyway. Like I said he is well connected in Chicago so maybe its skewing my perception.

I think this is a part of it with various guys. For instance with the Canes when Servalli says something it's "wait to hear from someone with actual connections here", but when Weekes or LeBrun says something we pay attention.

Surprised so many people dislike him. Not that I think hes great or anything. But hockey media in general is bad, so hes just more of that.

I think it's the coming across as a smug asshole thing that people can't get past. He might not be better or worse than other media, but I just don't like him, and don't like listening to him in interviews.

I liked looking up potential line combinations for that night's games on the DailyFaceoff website. Not sure how Seravelli leaving them will affect the quality of information there. Probably not at all, because I seem to recall that usually when I looked them up, what they had posted was either based on the team's previous game, or confirmed by someone else (generally the team in question's beat reporter).

I'm always amazed how noone points out Servalli's awful writing skills. His articles are filled with spelling and grammatical mistakes to the point where it's not just an issue of proofreading. I assume he took writing classes in college and wrote copy in earlier jobs--it's astounding how his atrocious pieces get published.

More than likely sold his share in Daily Faceoff at its highest and is simply looking to cash-in someplace else or maybe it was enough to nest-egg himself for life and he's just going to lowkey the insider thing for awhile.

It's a pretty run-of-the-mill hockey website. Has some names writing for it I've actually heard of. I only use it for looking up potential line combinations for a game (generally in the past when making a GDT) which is a good part of that website. Never actually clicked on one of their articles so I can't say if they're any good or not, but there are a lot of them.
