Way to much for Fowler? Andrighetto and Scherbak are RWs and Anaheim needs a top 6 LW This doesn't help Anaheim that's in a now win mode Anaheim is giving up a really good LHD in Fowler. Sorry but this doesn't help Anaheim compared to either JVR or Tatar.

I still think we need a more established winger for fowler... we arnt going into a rebuild so prospects/1st round picks don't help us much.

Our getzlaf/perry window is running down so id hope we were looking to bring in instant help for fowler(like a tatar/jvr trade that have been previously discussed)

If were trading for 1st and young/prospects we might as well look to trade getz perry and kesler too.

Where does Montreal get the cap space for Fowler? :help:

Don't think Anaheim has the space to get a player of similar salary in return. They have less than 7M$ to sign both Rakell and Lindholm.
 
Overpayment.. anyways your team pays too much for their Ds as it is and yet you want to add more salary? :help: Cap is a thing.

Not that I'm in the business of proposing Fowler trades or agreeing the OP but Andrighetto is a young skilled forward on a cheap contract. He plays either wing. There are certainly things Anaheim needs less.

Montreal has less then $1 million in cap? Trading Andrighetto doesn't clear that much more. How's Montreal going to be able to afford Fowler's $4 million cap hit here. Without moving another sizable contract.

Fair offer but I think Ana would rather get something more proven than good prospects.
 
What's his ceiling, Habs fans? I've never watched this kid but he seems to be in plenty of trade proposals from Montreal fans. For some reason I always thought that I had read or heard he was top 6 material. Or is he just one of the few prospects you're willing to trade right now? Not hating at all, just curious. Cheers.

Mtl will have 2M$ in cap space when Matteau is sent down.

But like i said before, Mtl would need to shed one D since they already have 8 on the roster.

He is a middle 6 forward right now but certainly has the speed and the hands to be a 2nd line winger in the near future. The thing is Mtl has 4 of those with Lehkonen, Carr, Hudon and Ghetto. They are small but pretty talented forwards. Habs can keep them all.

andrighetto has blazing speed but he needs size on his line to create space for him. he's a top 9 forward...scherbak was mtl's 1st rounder a couple of years ago..injuries set him back last year but he has size, skill and top 6 potential in him. he has a higher ceiling than ghetto

Great thx for your responses. So out of your top prospects, he would be considered at the bottom of the totem pole. I'll make sure to keep an eye out for him when they play the Flyers. Thx again and good luck this season.
 
What do you guys feel about Pacioretty for Fowler+Rakell?

Would sting to let Patches and his contract go, but honest question about value&fit.

Previous threads, Ducks fans dont want Max and Habs dont think thats enough for him.

We can sign Lindholm and get that top6 LW. Gotta give to get, i wouldnt mind this trade.

catch 22 is that andrighetto is pro ready while scherbak still needs AHL seasoning..
andrighetto in a dog fight with carr and lehkonen to play on 3rd line...
