Interesting comment, just not sure it translates to the NA sports market.

It doesn’t translate at all and that ship has sailed as far as how North America plays allot of regular season games. Also the Champions league is not replicate-able, in Europe they have so many great domestic leagues with massive clubs that it lays out well for that format.

It will be interesting to see what “adjustments” Cooper and the other coaches for Canada make going into the rematch. Obviously the US did a phenomenal job of locking that game down very tightly. Canada did the same to the US too. My guess is we will see Canada do more chip and chase. I also expect them to try to get more multi layered screens with point shots. They need to take away Helle’s vision. Look for low to high plays with lots of bodies in between the shooter and the net.

Oh jeez ps please give us a humble brag about how two days ago you predicted the way Cooper and coaches would make adjustment and go with the low to high play, with the multi layered screen, and the point shot.

LOL that is not Helle’s fault that went though about 4 screens. looked just like how Colorado owned our team in the playoffs and our D and forwards allowed all the screens and shots to get through. Helle just saved their ass on that last scramble where there D left the man open in front.

Look at almost every Canadian shot is taken when they have a player or two camped right in front of Helle. Canadian coaching have done a great job game plan adjusting.

US is getting killed and Helle is bailing them out. Just as I type this Canada walks in front again and get 4 cracks at it in the crease with the US D just standing their shell shocked.
