Xenforo Cloud will be upgrading us to version 2.3.5 on March 3rd at 12 AM GMT. This version has increased stability and fixes several bugs. We expect downtime for the duration of the update. Kinda makes me want to see them get wrecked like the U20 team did, just to teach Hockey Canada a lesson
It's a "best on best" tournament... maybe try bringing your best
I think the U.S. will eat team Canada alive. I think it will be ugly.

I'm shocked at how little I give a shit about this tournament.
I looked at the player analytics for this season on Evolving hockey. Goaltending aside, Canada has a better forward group and a slightly better defensive group.
You take away Hellebuyck and the goaltending is the same.
Again, this is just looking at this years analytics.

I'm looking forward to the playoffs. I think we're going to be in store for some magic. I will personally give Connor Hellebuyck the most incredible beej if he can be a Vezina goaltender for us in the playoffs.
You can't convince me that if he isn't he elite in the playoffs we don't win the f***ing cup.

I don't get the resentment for the tournament, it's only 4 games. Anytime we get to see Sid in the red and white is a win, those days are numbered
No resentment and i will watch but i would rather watch this incredible season by our Winnipeg Jets. Sid would look even better in a Jets uniform.

For some of us boomers, international best-on-best hockey used to mean something more than just the best players from countries playing against each other. Something was on the line, or at least it seemed that way
Growing up in the 80s, it was always a big deal to see what would happen when the Soviets played the Canadians. The 1987 Canada Cup might be my favorite hockey I've ever watched. Mario sniping high glove (while Ducky hauled the Soviet player down behind the play to create the 2 on 1) will be my favorite hockey -related moment until a Jet lifts the Cup
In the 90s, focus shifted to the Olympics and it was a huge deal for NHLers to be included and allowed to compete
This tournament seems like nothing more than a money grab... at this point in our country's slide towards post-nationalism, it doesn't even feel like I have any patriotic pride in cheering for Canada

Nice to have international competition back. I think the team that gives the most Fs when games get will win.
