Congrats on the win lads. I am definitely a team USA guy. 2010 USA Olympics run got me back into the sport I fell in love with as a kid.

But I have to say I am sorry about this thing turning political. It was hard for me to get too invested in the outcome of this tournament after that happened. Would be lying if I didn't say a piece of me was cheering for Canada because of how this thing turned political. For almost 15 years I have cheered for the Jets and I just have to say your cultural traditions and values should be respected and protected.

Things we learned this Four Nations tournament:

- best-on-best international hockey is incredible
- hockey is still Canada’s game
- Parayko is a tire-fire and I hope the Jets go nowhere near him

I still can’t believe how the league hit a grand slam by total accident and created some of the best hockey we’ve seen in years. This tournament is likely going to be a big draw for attendance at regular NHL games, which is good for everyone. I’m glad we can go back to cheering for Hellebuyck, and I’m gonna miss cheering for MacK and Makar. Switching support feels strange, but I’m so damn proud of my country right now.
