I have a feeling it would be like a hard scrimmage. Competitive, yes. Likely less pointless scrums, no fights and no "taking a guy out" checks.
I doubt there will be anything close to a NHL playoff atmosphere.

Still on the fence to watch or not. If games turn into 11-9 crapola scores then meh...I'll watch Curling instead with my wife.

It’s incredible that after hearing so much about how our goaltending is awful, we have 3 of the 5 best goalies by save percentage this season…and are taking NONE of them.

Faster, younger, and miles better defensively than all of them (top 10 in Selke last season at age of 22) and may even be there again this season. Just watching him play, he brings a ton of energy offensively, but is so composed defensively. Also has the ability to play center over guys like Hyman and Wilson, which is ideal for a 13th forward.

Scheifele is more puzzling me. He should be there instead of Bennett. Clearly worked his butt off to be on Team Canada and to be frank, outside of McDavid, Crosby, and MacKinnon, our only other “true” playmaker is Marner. Point, Reinhart and Stone are certainly “good” at it, but not are not pure playmakers like Scheifele.

by the time the entire roster was announced Scheifele at that moment wasn't much to offer since we are not trying to assemble an all star team. Hyman wasn't playing that well either. I also think the roster was picked because of bias brandon Hagal and Cirelli only made the team because Coopers is Canadas coach. Its kinda like how Kevin Lowe lobbied Ryan Smyth onto team Canada in 2002. He doesn't deserve it, but he's on team Canada. It's dumb.

You do know the only people on the team with more ES points than Hagel the last 2 years is McDavid and Mackinnon right? Considering Scheifele won't see any PP time it's pretty easy to see why they went with the better ES player and one of the top PKers in the league.

Pretty sure Point and Reinhart are there because of you know.... their 50+ goal seasons.

Probably has to do with Jarvis scoring more than 26 points in less games without being stapled next to McDavid too. Jarvis is coming off a 33 goal 67 point season, Wilson had 35 points last year in total, do you guys even think before posting? lmao

Jarvis belongs on this team, he’s an absolute menace.

Can play 5 on 5, forechecks like crazy,
can play on the PP (he won’t on this team obviously). Kids a skilled demon. If this team is flat coming out of the gate the first couple games, give him some ice time and watch him bring life to this team.

Him and Konecny are very similar, but you gotta bring them dawgs
