Yes, saying we need to trade our best defenseman based on a 4 game all star tournament is f***ing whining. When Fox was playing for the Rangers with Miller and killing it no one said anything. But some made up all star tournament now we have to trade him. Absolute drivel.

Not gonna criticize Fox too much on the winning goal. He went to hit a guy but the guy made the pass to Marner and Matthews defended him like it was Leafs practice. But all that was made possible when Fox couldn't keep the puck in Canada's zone.

Fox certainly had a pedestrian tournament but Hughes lost the check on McDavid. He was brutal all tournament.

Refs swallowed their whistles so they don't decide the game and that linesman calls that icing.

Whoever that was with the stupid icing cost the US. I think it was Hanafin? You can’t be icing the puck and giving them offensive zone Faceoff in OT, especially when they’re on their heels and the US has all the momentum. Just a stupid mistake there, can’t happen in a “game 7” OT. Thought the linesman could’ve waved it off too. Hughes was closest to the puck and about even with the D.

All the hemming and hawing about how good Hellebyuck was and I was pretty underwhelmed with him. He’s a big guy with good positioning but he looked like he was behind tracking the puck all tournament. Just don’t think he’s a big game goalie at all.

We had the better chances in OT, from Matthews no less, and Binnington stoned him. Canada’s first chance is in the net. McDavid was left wide open in the slot but it’s a clear sight shot. Second goal was pretty weak too i know I’d have been lighting Igor up about that one.
