Fox’s play is so blah. So vanilla at times. And he kept his usual scrunched whiny face head to the sky move after a play not going his or his team’s way. Did it in the 3rd after someone’s shot attempt went out of play, maybe Hughes. Just looks like a baby out there.
He lost 1/4 step or 1/2 step or something at some point (maybe the Aho hit) that he basically can't afford to lose. League is slowly catching on to not respecting his headfakes or skating ability. He used to walk the blueline like a deity -- where's that been?

He'll do well, especially analytically, forever. Because his hockey brain is top .01%. Literally never out of position. Reads the play wrong basically never. Actual genius. However, I'm very concerned the guy who made wizard shit happen is already in the rearview mirror.

He also *needs* to stop standing f***ing still.

I missed the 3rd period after my chromecast got effed. I guess it didn't make a difference.

It's better to trade a player a year too early rather than a year too late. The NMC starts on July 1. If I were Chris Drury, I would have already started talks with other teams.

It's good business. The Rangers could obtain a bounty for him to jump start their rebrand or refresh.

I hope the crowds can be respectful. These are hockey players not politicians. None of these guys are enemies.
Those are just dickheads in the stands....we have a couple in here who have dropped the 51st state remarks which add nothing to the conversation...the boo people are at that same level of stupid . I never looked but I hope the Mods deleted them......

This was my big concern, that the US wins the round robin and then loses in the final.
Somebody will lose....and that's not a big deal in the overall scenario . Canada has won lots of events and lost more in recent years to other powers....it was bound to happen The same thing happening in other sports...you see more Canuck superstars in baseball these day albeit mostly all US trained college guys . WHat is good is that it does promote growth in these sports . Recently the Blue Jays announced funding for a baseball complex in my area . That will be so awesome for the kids....I never had that opportunity as we never had baseball here....just softball .

Unfortunately somebody has to lose the game....but neither hopefully lose sight of the overall picture....grow the sport . LOL....but if the US loses....I won't be sad !!!

Fox has to get the puck on net on offense, he has gotten headfake happy like McDonagh did once upon a time. And needs a more reliable partner on defense. Lindgren doesnt have the size to take a hit or the skating ability that plays to Fox strengths. I also think he's just out of shape this year. A lot of Rangers came into the season huffing and puffing.

I think he needs a full offseason to recover from that knee injury. And train. Really train. This short summer didn’t help him. Maybe best thing for him is us losing early this year. But he has not skated as well since the aho hit.

I thought he recovered decently from the Aho knee. He had 17 goals last year, not that that's the end all be all obviously. The hit from Nick Jensen in R1 against the Caps was far more impactful. I thought Fox looked hobbled the rest of the playoffs.

Emblematic of a bigger issue that other team's have taken liberties of our top guys with no pushback.

I saw Trocheck in December favoring that same hand in the same way he did last night so I think he's dealing with something, as they say.
