Pretty f***ing cool to have the crowd chanting "Mario" before the game and "Crosby" after it.
Sid's going to win it for Canada and then pull a 2004 Lemieux and go on LTIR for the rest of the season so we can get a top pickIt's gonna be frustrating as hell watching Sid having to go back to playing with our hot garbage when this tourney is over.
Get him away from Sullivan and put him with actually decent players… and he’s still got it.
Montreal has great fans and has always appreciated the great talents of the game.Pretty f***ing cool to have the crowd chanting "Mario" before the game and "Crosby" after it.
He is glowing about Sid in the post game interview and is saying he's so pumped to be on a team with him. How he is seeing all he does to win etc.MacKinnon a little selfish in OT but very exciting. Sid, Rakell and Karlsson were great to solid all game.
Sid to Marner in OT, hopefully convincing him to come to Pittsburgh
I thought maybe some of those he could use his speed to gain the zone and then dish it to McDavid and let him skate around until something opens up.I dont mind MacKinnon being selfish in OT. Players usually start up a pass fest and never shoot. Mack was rushing the puck and firing on the net.
McDavid was deferring all game. Only had 1 shot. He was being too selfless. Mack was driving to the net. Cant fault him on that in OT.Alright boys deep breaths.
Now we get to enjoy some Mike Sullivan hockey again tomorrow.

MacKinnon kept trying to go 1v3 and he's so good that it was still resulting in shots on goal but I dunno didn't feel like most of those were going in unless he absolutely sniped one (which in fairness he is capable of doing).
But when McDavid is on the ice in 3v3 he needs to touch the puck more. Greatest weapon Canada has in that scenario
I was just a little concerned because that was only his second shift in the OT and the period was already half over. More concerned about his arm than anything.I thought that was a really good coaching performance by Cooper. A lesser coach might have run Sid ragged by playing him too much in OT but Cooper wisely ignored sentiment and played his younger guys for most of OT and played Sid just enough that Sid could stay fresh and make a key play to win it.
Cooper largely rode Mack and McDavid for most of OT and that was the smart choice.
Sid being a winger just looks wrong ngl
He was a boss winger tonight.
What's to complain about.

Imagine seeing Sid is better at wing than say Geno and a dipshit like Sullivan couldn't even figure out but Cooper did with Sid for Team Canada. He was a boss winger tonight.

Sadly none were secondary. So they dont count.Pretty damn impressive from Sid. All 3 assists were quality.
