Hm, this McAvoy stuff sounds shitty. Injured against Finland, underwent "treatment" (I guess this means a minor surgical procedure given context?), then developed a gnarly infection which got bad enough to result in enough pain for hospitalization, draining/flushing, and debridement. Still being held in the hospital, on IV antibiotics, and listed as "condition improving". Yeesh.

As someone who works in a hospital, it's unfortunate but happens. As long as it's improving, that's good. Don't want infection being near bone/bloodstream.
